Argon Electronics (UK) Ltd. has released a major upgrade to its Rados RDS200 training simulator that provides a significant improvement to the simulated Gamma performance of the training system.

The upgrade can be applied to all existing customer RDS200 simulators and implements Argons’ latest generation Gamma simulation technology to provide advanced simulation of inverse square law response and shielding effects.

Derek Broadbent, Argon Business Development Manager commented:

“Many of the UK’s Fire and Rescue Services use our RDS200 simulator for vital radiological response training. The new Gamma simulation source and RDS200-SIM upgrade is a complete game changer and can operate through walls, ceilings, floors and can even be hidden within vehicles and packing crates providing highly realistic radiological hazard scenarios”.

Argon will be showing the RDS200-SIM upgrade and other radiation and chemical warfare / HazMat simulators at the UK Emergency Services Show, NEC Birmingham UK.
