Argon teams up with OWR to boost CBRN response training in Germany

Written by Steven Pike on 03 Oct 2013

Argon has appointed Germany’s OWR GmbH, a technology and systems solution provider skilled in addressing complex situations in the field of CBRN protection as a sales and distribution channel for its world leading CBRN simulation systems. The deal will provide local customers with easier access to Argon Electronics’ expanding range of simulators, which are improving the quality and efficiency of CBRN response training across the globe.

OWR will represent Argon in Germany, utilising a combination of its own experience and Argon’s expertise to develop customer specific solutions for CBRN response training. “For more than 50 years, OWR has been working to support ground-breaking defence and civil protection concepts within Germany, NATO partner countries and beyond,” says Argon’s Managing Director, Steven Pike. “As well as scientists and engineers, OWR also employs – and is advised by – former officers of the German Army that have specialised in CBRN response. Our like-minded companies mesh together perfectly, offering both the military and first responder agencies the chance to realistically and proficiently prepare for CBRN incidents.”

“Representing Argon Electronics makes perfect sense for OWR,” says Graham Barnicoat, International Sales Manager of OWR. “The combined expertise of Argon and OWR makes a powerful package and we look forward to bringing all of Argon’s innovative products to the German market.”

This welcome combination of the knowledge and experience of two of the leading companies in the field of CBRN / HazMat training makes OWR the first point of call in Germany for any professionals wishing to enhance and improve their exercises by incorporating what Argon calls Real Experience Training™ experience so real that participants often forget it’s an exercise.

Argon is a world leader in CBRN / HazMat simulation and training aids, having worked closely with many of the world’s leading detector manufacturers to ensure the highest levels of fidelity in its equipment.
