Small Area Beta Gamma Probe Simulator

The Ludlum Measurements Inc. Small Area Beta Gamma (SABG) radiation simulator probe has been designed to work with Argon's simulation RDS AN/PDR-83 SIM base unit.

The simulation SABG Probe can be "hot connected" directly to the Simulation RDS AN/PDR-83 SIM base unit by flexible cable, showing the probes reading on the base unit.

Advanced Radiation Training

You can "hot connect" and disconnect the simulation Small Area Beta Gamma Probe - no need to turn the simulation RDS AN/PDR-83 SIM base unit off, and most impressively the base unit display screen splits into Beta and Gamma reading windows just like the real instrument.

The Simulation SABG Probe responds to Argon’s discrete radiological simulation sources to deliver highly realistic surface contamination training. Its easy-to-use instructor remote enables the simulation of partial or full decontamination for more flexible and effective training scenarios.

The Simulation RDS AN/PRD-83 Alpha Beta Probe is compatible with PlumeSIM, Argon’s proven Live Field and Tabletop CBRN exercise system. Used by many of the world’s leading training facilities, PlumeSIM enables real-time, instrumented wide-area tactical field exercises and nuclear, HazMat, and chemical warfare emergency response training using one or multiple simulation devices that respond in real time to simulated hazards.
