Argon welcomes US. Army Captain, Rory Hight to the Business Development Team. Rory brings with him more than 14 years of leadership and experience in Military and Hazardous Materials operations. During Rory’s career, he had the pleasure of serving as a member of California’s CBRN Enhanced Response Force Packages (CERFP) and California’s 95th Civil Support Team (CST); where he spent a number of years operating in the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and Emergency Response environments.

Rory served as both the Survey Team Leader and Operations Officer positions while a member of the 95th CST. It was here that Rory developed a love for CBRN and consequence management. He quickly sought out to engage the HazMat communities across California after he saw the value a realistic and efficient training program could provide his partners. He planned, coordinated, and lead monthly full-scale exercises in coordination with many federal, state, and local agencies, promoting interagency co-operation and mutual understanding.

He distinguished himself in the Emergency Responder community by incorporating skills learned from multiple overseas deployments and various training opportunities he experienced with partner nations. He adapted and tested new technologies and developed training scenarios to discover how to best leverage each agencies capabilities, identification, and detection equipment to accomplish their given mission.

“After witnessing Argon’s suite of simulators and detectors firsthand, I knew every agency could benefit from this technology.” “It covers the training gaps and overcomes the hurdles facing these HazMat agencies and CBRN responders. I’m proud to be able to assist and support our partners. When you can make Military and First Responder training easy, safer, and move efficient, everyone wins.”

Steven Pike, Argon’s CEO added:

“We are delighted to have such an accomplished CBRN and HazMat specialist join our team. Rory has extensive knowledge relating to both Military and First Responder CBRN / HazMat training and represents an important expansion of our North American Business Development team with responsibility for the West Coast region of the United States and US Government agencies deployed throughout the Asia Pacific region.”
