Civil Radiological Radsim SS1 Gamma Simulator
The Radsim SS1 Gamma radiation survey simulator is based upon the Alnor RD8. This is an easy to use general purpose Gamma survey simulator that enables survey and dose management techniques to be taught with ease and in complete safety. The system is ideal for teaching peace keeping operations where a source may have been exposed due to demolition and search training.
Simulation Gamma sources can be used individually or in groups to simulate target areas of emission. The simulator will detect the source to a range of typically 30 metres with a good representation of inverse square law. The use of ultrasound as a simulation source avoids any restrictions relating to radio frequency licence, or any problems associated with third party radio emissions interferring with your exercise. The sources are also very easy to control by means of a digital output adjustment, and a signal dispersion adapter enables the directional source to be modified for 360 degree output. The effects of shielding can be simulated using multiple sources. Please refer to "CONCEPT OF SIMULATION" for further details regarding the source and adapter.
The Radsim SS1 system is supplied with:
1 Radsim SS1 Gamma simulator
1 Charger unit for SS1 simulator
2 Simulation Gamma sources complete with batteries
1 Gamma source signal spreader
1 System user manual
1 System carry case
1 Years parts and labour warranty.
