Military Radiological MINI 900 Alpha / Beta Simulator
Based upon the Mini Instruments Mini Monitor, this simulator uses flourescant powders and liquids to simulate radioactive contaminant. This simulator is ideal for teaching medical casualty decontamination and depleted uranium munition clearance as well as general health physics contamination control training.
The liquids and powders are based upon well known harmless substances, which provide an environmentally friendly and cost effective simulant.
The system uses an optical technology which exites the simulant and the measures the resulting fluorescence, converting this to a count level.
Response to the simulant is highly realistic in terms of distance from source, speed of response and apparent activity of substance irrespective of the direction of approach.
Powders are available in light yellow, light green, dark grey and dark green.
The system comes supplied complete with:
1 Mini monitor simulator and probe
1 250ml container of concentrate liquid simulant (dilute 10 to 1)
2 250ml container of colour (your choice)powder simulant
1 Powder dispensing spatula
