Civil Chemical GID 3 SIM GID-3 SIMULATOR Developed for military and civil use, GID-3 SIM simulator can be used by any organization wishing to ensure its personnel are correctly trained in the use of the Smiths Detection GID-3 chemical detector. A powerful instructor remote simulates both nerve and blister attacks utilizing manual and automatic vapour cloud generation software. In addition, trainee errors are reported to the instructor in real time. GID-3 SIM is compatible with CAMSIM, permitting realistic integrated chemical defense training to take place. GID-3 SIM does not require any form of preventative maintenance or regular calibration. No Lithium battery required! Because of the cost and disposal issues relating to Lithium batteries, we developed a D Cell based battery system to work with this simulator. You can of course use the Lithium battery or any other GID-3 power supply should you wish. No Radioactive source! The simulator does not incorporate a radioactive source Real time error reporting GID-3 SIM detects or permits the instructor to determine operator errors in real time, as follows: Excess confidence test Monitor correct turn on procedure Omission of G or H confidence test after warm up. Ensure both G and H confidence samples are tested. Ensure inlet and outlet covers are removed / fitted as appropriate Ensue correct us of rain covers is understood Ensure replacement of inlet nozzle is understood. Monitor correct turn off procedure.
